HOUSTON AREA FOOTBALL PLAYERS AND COACHES HOST ELITE TRAINING
CAMP IN SHANGHAI, CHINA
CAMP IN SHANGHAI, CHINA
Houston, TX —- Houston Christian University wide receiver Jackson White traveled to Shanghai, China, during spring break as part of his name, image, and likeness (NIL) agreements with a Chinese-based sponsor.
White was joined by former HISD standout and NCAA Division I WR coach Reggie Moore, who most recently coached at Prairie View A&M. Together, they led the Elite Performance Football Camp from March 7-9, which welcomed 46 student-athletes from across China eager to learn key football fundamentals, including route running, defensive back drills, and overall techniques.
A junior finance major from Houston Lamar, White is an NIL athlete with 360 RECOVERY, a physical recovery products brand owned by a Guangzhou-based manufacturer. As part of this partnership, he and the coaching staff traveled to China to participate in the spring break football camp in Shanghai and promote the products.
Over the three-day clinic, White played a pivotal role in working with the offensive group, demonstrating route running techniques, footwork, timing, and angles. On the second day, he took the stage for a 30-minute testimonial, sharing his journey to becoming a scholarship athlete at Houston Christian University (HCU).
“The main thing is to stay consistent and always have faith,” White told the audience. “I am here today because I never stopped and never gave up. I encourage all of you to do the same.”
With flag football set to debut in the 2028 Olympic Games, the sports’ popularity is rapidly growing in China. The camp attracted participants ranging in age from 8 to 38 years old, reflecting the sports broad appeal Yasmine You, International Director of Business for 360 Recovery, expressed enthusiasm about
White’s partnership with the brand.
“We are very proud to have Jackson White as one of our international brand ambassadors for 360 Recovery,” You said. “We look forward to having Jackson travel to other countries around the world with our brand as we expand into international markets.” White described the experience as both rewarding and eye-opening, saying he enjoyed working with athletes in China and exploring Shanghai. He was also proud to represent his NIL sponsors and the HCU athletic program.
“Houston Christian University took a chance on me when other colleges wouldn’t, and I’ll always appreciate that,” said White, a two-time Academic All-SLC selection. “People in China were asking me a lot of questions about HCU, and I gained a lot of new followers who I know will be tuning in to watch our future games from China.”
Now back in Texas, White is preparing for HCU spring football season, which kicks off on March 17.
“China was an amazing experience that helped me focus and realize the importance of attention to detail even more,” White said. “Now, it’s time to lock in and help Houston Christian University win games. Dawgs Up!”
